Yesterday I cut out 5 half aprons, 2 pillowcase dresses, 3 crayon rolls, and lots of plastic bag holders and fabric gift bags.
Today I am hoping to get them all sewn together and do some more cutting.
My back is still very sore, and my nose is draining today, I think my headache will go away if I take some motrin. We will see. I definitely need to get lots done. I am also hoping to make some apple sauce or butter today, and marshmallows.
Wish me luck.

Here is what I finished yesterday. I actually finished 4 dresses.
Two of them are Anna's the other two are going to an Etsy Friend, once I hem them up.
Today I am going to be working on some aprons. wish me lots of luck.

Spring - a time for new beginings
As the trees start to bud, and the plants are starting to green up, I am thinking about new things. It's a new season, a fresh season. With spring brings hope. Fresh Starts.
This year I am hoping for many things. A good market season, good craft sales, my kids to potty train easily....
I have also started some new things. Yesterday I started a walk for life program. I would really like to do two things with this. First, I would like to get back into shape. Second, I would like to loose a few pounds. I have been crafting more, trying to find a niche of things that I enjoy making, that will hopefully make me some $$. I am rediscovering my love for making fabric items. In the last week I have made many things, crayon rolls, a kite, an apron, a very cute little dress for Anna, bookmarks, dog leashes, etc. I really do love it. It's fun, and gives me another creative outlet.
I am trying to better my life, spend more time with my kids while they are little. Spend more quality time with Jed. Live a better, more simple life.
With that, my kids are waking up and I am going to play with them for a bit.

Walking for Life
My little Sister and My Mom have both inspired me to take better care of my body and exercise more. While I am not planning on running any 5k's or marathons I do love walking.
So with that being said. My friend Jessica and I have been walking 1-3 times a week, when it fit into our schedules in town with our doggies. I know that I have been feeling much better and happier since I have started doing this.
So... This morning I got to thinking, if there are programs for runners to get going from a couch potato to running a 5k. There has got to a an easy program for walkers. So an internet search was underway. Yep, there sure is. It is called Walk for Life. It's a 10 week fitness training program.
While I would love to lose a few pounds on this, I would rather enjoy myself more. So I sent Jess an email asking her if she wanted to do this with me. She jumped right on it. While today we won't be able to walk together, if we both follow the program and walk together on the days when we can, we will be able to encourage each other, and help each other feel better about ourselves. Which really is the goal.
And you never know, If I like it, I might run. But don't count on that one. I don't like running. Walking is more my speed.
